At BK Ultrasound, we're interested in learning about how doctors use ultrasound at point of care. Over the past few months, 120 US and Canadian specialists in MSK, pain management, physical medicine, rheumatology, osteopath and sports medicine have provided feedback in an ongoing informal survey on the use of ultrasound.
Here are some of the more interesting results:
- The majority of respondents indicated they are using an ultrasound system at their practice (we recognize these numbers could be skewed by self-selection).
- Respondents reported challenges with image quality, complicated work flow and lack of training on existing systems.
- The biggest issue preventing ultrasound use age at their practice was lack of training.
